Empowering Students
Supporting Success
At Mid Florida Foundation, we empower students by providing resources, guidance, and opportunities for success. Our programs are tailored to meet students' diverse needs, whether it's purchasing textbooks, career preparation, or assisting international students in adapting to a new environment.

Educational Support Services
The foundation will offer a range of support services to ensure that students have the tools they need to succeed academically. Our Textbook and Technology Grants will help cover the rising
costs of laptops, software, and essential textbooks, easing the financial burden many students face. Tutoring and Academic Mentorship programs will provide one-on-one or small group support in core subjects, led by both peers and faculty. Recognizing the challenges of non-native English speakers, we will also expand English Language Support programs to help international and multilingual students thrive. In addition, College Prep Bootcamps will be available for students who may feel underprepared for higher-level academic work, giving them the
confidence to begin their studies with a strong foundation.
Career Readiness & Workforce Development
We are committed to preparing students not only for graduation, but also for meaningful careers. The foundation plans to provide Internship Placement Support by connecting students with local businesses in high-demand fields such as hospitality, technology, and healthcare. Through Job Fairs and Career Counseling, we will help students explore employment opportunities, improve their resumes, and sharpen interview skills. To give graduates an added advantage, Professional Certification Support will cover the costs of industry-recognized exams like PMP, CompTIA, and Serv Safe, helping students step confidently into the workforce with competitive credentials.
International Student Support
International students bring diversity, culture, and new perspectives to our community, but they also face unique challenges. Mid Florida Foundation will provide Visa and Immigration Guidance, assisting students with the complexities of forms, SEVIS requirements, and visa interviews. Cultural Adjustment Workshops will create safe spaces for students to adapt to new environments and feel at home. In times of crisis, our Emergency Relief Fund will be available to provide immediate support for housing, food, or healthcare needs. Our goal is to ensure international students not only study here, but truly thrive here.
Emergency Micro-Grants
Life can be unpredictable, and students often face unexpected financial hardships. Mid Florida Foundation will establish Emergency Micro-Grants ranging from $250 to $1,000 to provide fast- turnaround assistance for those experiencing sudden setbacks. These grants can help students cover urgent needs such as medical bills, housing insecurity, or family emergencies. With this program, no student should have to choose between continuing their education and overcoming life’s challenges.
Community Outreach & Civic Engagement
We believe in giving back to the community and building pathways for future students. Our High School Bridge Programs will partner with Title I high schools to provide early scholarships and college readiness workshops, ensuring students have the resources to transition into higher
education. In addition, Financial Literacy Workshops will guide students and families through budgeting, FAFSA applications, and debt management. For working adults seeking to return to school, our Adult Learner Support programs will create flexible re-entry opportunities, allowing them to balance education with career and family responsibilities.
Alumni-Student Mentorship Program
Success in education often comes from more than just academics—it also comes from relationships and networks. Mid Florida Foundation will build an Alumni-Student Mentorship Program that pairs scholarship recipients with alumni and local business leaders. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, and leadership development workshops, students will gain
valuable connections that prepare them for life after graduation. This program creates a cycle of giving back, as today’s students become tomorrow’s mentors.
Entrepreneurship
Grants
For students with innovative ideas and the drive to start their own ventures, we will provide Entrepreneurship Grants. These small startup grants will help graduate students launch businesses that align with their fields of study—whether that’s opening a hospitality venture, creating a new tech platform, or starting a consulting service. By investing in student
entrepreneurs, we invest in the future of local business and economic growth.
Humanitarian
Initiatives
We are committed to supporting students facing extraordinary circumstances. Through Scholarships for Displaced or Refugee Students, Mid Florida Foundation will provide opportunities for learners affected by conflict, natural disasters, or humanitarian crises. Our Global Learning Fund will also help high-achieving students attend study-abroad programs, international research projects, or global conferences, giving them exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences that enrich their education.
Looking Forward
Although Mid Florida Foundation is just beginning, these programs represent our long-term vision. Each initiative reflects our belief that education should be accessible, equitable, and transformative. By supporting these efforts, donors and community partners help us lay the groundwork for a brighter future—one in which every student has the chance to succeed, regardless of circumstance.
